Fourth grade is a transition grade where student's learning emphasis moves from learning HOW to read toward READING TO LEARN.  It's a big growth year for student responsibility and working toward more independence.  The subject content becomes quite challenging.

We have a lot of "hands on" projects in all areas and make use of many outside resources such as visitors to our classroom and field trips away from school when appropriate.

This year our class will participate in an art appreciation program via Krasl Art Center in St. Joseph, Michigan.
